description and use
OptiSperse* ADJ5150 is a concentrated alkaline formulation for adjusting pH and alkalinity to minimise corrosion, precipitate hardness salts and minimise silica deposits.
OptiSperse ADJ5150 can be used in conjunction with other VEOLIA products to provide a complete, flexible and effective boiler water treatment programme.
OptiSperse ADJ5150 helps ensure total system protection.
typical applications
Deposits on boiler tube surfaces reduce heat transfer efficiency in furnace water walls and boiler generating banks. These deposits are a principle cause of overheating damage. In softened and dealkalised makeup water systems, hardness, silica, and iron, are the major deposit- causing contaminants. Control of pretreatment systems to reduce these contaminants in

treatment and feeding requirements
Feedpoint – OptiSperse ADJ5150 can be fed into the boiler feedwater line or directly into the boiler. Feed with equipment made of standard materials of construction.
Feedrate – Sufficient OptiSperse ADJ5150 should be fed to maintain the recommended boiler water hydroxide alkalinity.
Dilution – OptiSperse ADJ5150 may be fed neat or diluted by good quality condensate, demineralised water, or deaerated feedwater to make a convenient
