description and use
Hypersperse* MDC706 is a highly effective liquid antiscalant/antifoulant developed to control scale precipitates and reduce particulate fouling within membrane separation systems by dispersing particulate foulants.
This highly effective liquid antiscalant/antifoulant is specially formulated to allow usage with cationic polymer-based coagulants such as SoliSep* MPT150. It is imperative that the coagulants used are compatible with the antiscalant/antifoulant being injected as incompatible chemicals may cause membrane fouling.
For maximum effectiveness, Hypersperse MDC706 should be added prior to the static mixer or cartridge filter housing.
dosing
The typical dosage range is between 3 and 6 ppm (mg/L). For potable applications the maximum dosage is 8 ppm (mg/L).
Important Note: Over and under-dosing may cause membrane fouling. Contact your local VEOLIA representative to define the optimal feed point and dosage rate.
Dilution Guidelines: On-site dilution of Hypersperse MDC706 is possible, however product dilution to concentrations below 10% is generally not recommended. When diluting, use high quality water such as permeate or deionized water. When feeding diluted product, examine the make-down tank for evidence of microbiological (MB) growth. If MB is observed, sanitize the tank and reduce the batch size. For best results, Hypersperse MDC706 should be fed neat.
