  • Maintains effectiveness under highly stressed conditions
  • Permits proper phosphate concentration for superior steel corrosion protection
  • Halogen Stable

description and use

GenGard GN7004 contains a new stress tolerant polymer (STP) designed for calcium phosphate scale control and particulate dispersion. It provides unparalleled deposition control at high temperature

and low flow conditions, compared to conventional sulfonate-based polymeric dispersants. Its performance is not impaired by soluble iron from steel corrosion, or by iron and aluminum contamination from makeup water. GenGard GN7004 is also an excellent precipitation/deposition inhibitor for zinc salts.

GenGard GN7004 is designed for open recirculating cooling water systems operating with a phosphate- based corrosion inhibition program. STP permits the use of high levels of inorganic phosphate to develop a passive oxide film on steel surfaces without the formation of a phosphate deposit. The passive film prevents steel corrosion and does not impede heat transfer.

GenGard GN7004 is an excellent choice for high cycles operation or water reuse applications. The GenGard polymer maintains its activity at high hardness and salinity conditions. Its hydrolytic and halogen stability allows prolonged operation with systems having long half-lives. Boiler blowdown and cationic polymer carryover for influent clarifiers do not adversely affect performance.

treatment and feeding requirements

Dosage – The proper treatment levels of GenGard GN7004 depend on the specific needs of your system. The product should be fed in accordance with the control parameters that VEOLIA establishes for a particular application. For consistent protection, continuous feed is recommended. Product monitoring can be accomplished with a simple and accurate grab sample test or continuously with an on-line monitor.

Feed point – The product should be fed to a point in the system where it will be rapidly mixed with the bulk cooling water.

Dilution – GenGard GN7004 can be diluted with good quality water to convenient feeding strengths.

Feed Equipment – Tanks, pumps, piping, and valves should be made of stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, Tygon, or Teflon. (Tygon and Teflon are registered

trademarks of DuPont.) Mild steel should not be Find a contact near you by visiting www.veoliawatertechnologies.com and clicking on “Cuonsteacdt Ufso.”r feed equipment.
