Description and Use
CorrShield FF4505 is a blend of an organic and amine corrosion inhibitors selected for effective protection of multimetal surfaces in closed cooling systems. It can be used in both chilled and hot water applications.
CorrShield FF4505 protects metal surfaces from corrosion by forming a protective barrier film on metal surfaces (Figure 1). Thus, system is all protected from corrosion. The product also contains a blend of amines, which will assure a safe alkaline pH for carbon steel surfaces, where the protective metal oxides are most stable and adherent. Additionally, the surface-active chemistry provides dispersant qualities to help maintain clean heat transfer surfaces.
Improved corrosion control reduces the potential for system failures and the level of corrosion products generated internally, and the resulting under-deposit corrosion. Contributing to optimum efficiency by maintaining clean heat transfer surfaces and minimizing disruptive outages, minimizing costs associated with corrosion-related failures.

CorrShield FF4505 is designed for application to closed cooling systems at a wide range of water temperatures.

Treatment and Feeding Requirements
Proper treatment levels for CorrShield FF4505 depend on many factors particular to a given application and should be used in accordance with control procedures that Veolia establishes on a case-by-case basis. This product is best applied to systems with low hardness, such as softened or RO or demineralized quality water. It is not recommended for high-hardness waters.

Storage
