Cleaning and dispersing
pressure boilers
aqualead CD903 is a synergistic formulation of complexing phosphorous derivatives and improved copolymers that prevents scale deposition and sludge settling, perturbs crystals formation.
aqualead CD903 will also clean a dirty system while in operation.
NSF has processed the application for registration of aqualead CD903 to the NSF international registration guidelines for proprietary substances and non-food compounds. The NSF non-food compounds registration program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements, including FDA 21 CFR for appropriate use, ingredient, and labelling review.
aqualead CD903 is acceptable for treating boilers, or steam lines where steam produced may contact edible products and/or cooling systems where the treated water may not contact edible products in and around food processing areas (G6).
Phosphorous derivatives prevent scaling by sequestering calcium and magnesium cations, thus ensuring a clean exchanger surface for maximum heat transfer coefficient. In the association with a phosphating product, it acts as a corrosion inhibitor by passivation of metallic surfaces ensuring longterm plant life and availability.
Polymeric dispersants prevent blockages by keeping any particles or precipitates in suspension, such as calcium and magnesium salts and iron oxides.
Cleans dirty systems by slowly dissolving and dispersing carbonates and phosphates salts of calcium and iron oxides, avoiding the use of acid cleaning.
aqualead CD903 modifies the water alkalinity. aqualead PO710 can be added, if necessary, to satisfy the m-Alkalinity requirements in the boiler and have a good ratio SiO2/TAC.
Treatment and Feeding Requirements
aqualead CD903 should be added as supplied or diluted via a positive displacement pump. It is typically added to the suction side of circulating pumps or at points of high turbulence where intimate mixing is achieved.
aqualead CD903 is added directly into the feed water in accordance with the boiler manufacturers’ standards regarding the feed water quality (residual hardness and iron content) and the level of scaling/fouling encountered.
A dosage of 500 g/m3 in the boiler should be sufficient to prevent scaling and fouling.
In all cases, our engineers and technicians are available to carry out an in-depth study to recommend the optimum dosage and conditions of use.
Evaluation of the concentration of aqualead CD903 is carried out by phosphates analysis.
